How can I tell if a Silver Lyretail Mollie is pregnant?
She seems quite fatter than she used to be, and she is eating voraciously. she also seems to be burrowing into the gravel on occasion, and is attacking my airlines. No other fish are behaving that way.
The only male Mollie is a Black Mollie, and I am unsure whether they would mate... but I guess it is possible that she could have been pregnant when I got her.
So:
1) How can I tell?
2) Would she mate with a Black Mollie?
3) If she did mate with the Black, what should I expect from the offspring
4) If she is pregnant, what should I expect in the offspring?
5) Should I use a breeding container to save the fry, or should I leave it to nature and the tank's cover to save a few fry if possible?
