So I've had a female and male Platy for a while (got a new female the other day to level it out better 1:2) and recently she got pregnant. She had 6 fry in the main community tank so I placed her in a separate tank already set up on her own as the male was getting annoying . And she's been hiding since which is signs of having more.. But a month down the line and she's still not had any. I know they can stay pregnant for 4-6 months after giving birth the first time. So my question is, would you put her back in the main tank with the new female and male or keep her in it for a few more months? Thanks

Personally I would never have taken her out. I have livebearers and if the babies make it I have more fish and if not no skin of my back. That said with the community I have in my 55g I have had 3 babies make it in the last 5 years. Males will always bother females on the regular
