Hi guys. Bit of an update from my last post. Iv done another water change today, about 50%. good news, my fish are now looking a lot more lively. Bad news, my nitrate and nitrite are high. Does anyone have any suggestions?

what do you use to treat water before filling tank? i highly reccomend sea chem prime! makes nitrates, nitrates, and ammonia less toxic to fish. i just went through my first fw cycle as a newbie and i swear it is the only thing that kept my fish alive. also, what are you using for testing water?

Using aqua safe from tetra. Just the strips at the moment, I need to order a proper kit. I did have my old tank set up well, no problems, until it started to leak, so unfortunately I had to buy this new one, that is a little smaller as it's all I could afford at such short notice.
