pvc adhesive

I have a question. What adhesives other than aquarium adhesive is safe to use to permenetly connect pvc piping in an aquarium or a pond?

I can't be 100% sure but I believe aquarium adhesives are the only safe bet. IMO I wouldn't risk anything else.

Any PVC cement will work provided it states "drinking water safe".

I use Oatley (from Lowes) clear cement and purple primer on my PVC fittings with no problems.

thanks for the advise. I am so worried, as this is the first time I have set up a pond, that I might use something that is harmful to my finny friends. Now on to the algae problem.
