After a few disasters, I've finally setup a quarantine tank. I?ve got a 20 gal tank that I cycled with a molly and now have had some seemingly healthy corys and ottos in for 2 days.

The QT tank is pretty clean so they really would like to get to the tanks with "stuff" to eat.

My question is what do most of you consider a "safe" period to move these to your main tanks?

I've heard 4 days to 2 weeks.

Also, how closely do you make sure the parameters match with the QT and the target tank?

They are headed to two separate tanks and the only difference is the PH.

Ph is important to be the same. How different is the ph from tank to tank? I always give 2 weeks for QT.

Unless you leave the fish in quarentine long enough to see any disease that they might be carrying, there's no point in bothering. As such 2 weeks would be the bare minimum, with 3-4 weeks being much preferred.
