I just got an XP2 canister filter today to go along with my Eheim Ecco 2236 to add more filtration to my 55 gallon (soon-to-be planted) community tank. I noticed it came with this Bio-Chem Zorb pouch which says it contains carbon and some other stuff to help give you "crystal clear" water. My question is, am I supposed to use this on a regular basis in my XP2 or should this be treated just like any other activated carbon and only be used to remove medication/etc? If I shouldn't be using it full-time I'll just replace it with some additional ceramic rings or something.
