I'm going to start the fishless cycle on my 75g. I have Sea Mist ammonia (from Wal-Mart). I have a Tetra test kit that measures ammonia in mg/L. I have read several articles on the fishless cycle, but each one refers to ppm. :?

:?: So, how many mg/L should I be reading when I reach 5ppm?

Thanks

Here is the math to make it easier to understand and remember:

1mg of NH3 per liter. One liter of water is 1000 grams, or 1 million milligrams. thus 1 milligram NH3 per liter is the same as 1milligram NH3 per million milligrams of water. Since the wieght of NH3 is close to the wieght of water, lets neglect the diference and just call it 1 PPM
