Rainbow Shark and Rainbow Fish in planted tank?

From what I understand, Rainbow Sharks and Rainbow Fish are mostly herbivorous, so what, if any, plants would be recommended for the aquarium that they may not be interested in consuming? I would really prefer live plants if possible in my 55 gallon tank.

I have swords and wisteria in my 36g and my rainbow shark doesn't eat them but occasionally cleans them off.
