Rainbows and Cichlids

Out of Curiosity. Would rainbows and cichlids work together in a 55? If so, what species of each would everyone suggest?

Well.. ya only named the cichlid part! what about the rainbows?

Well it depends on what cichlid. They will be fine from smaller ones like keyhole and rams, but they will experience aggression from larger ones. The biggest varieties will eat them.

If you can afford them, Boisemani Rainbows are beauties.

If you can find them, Iranian Reds are quite nice.

If neither, just go with some Turquoise.
