If the Ram is swimming, eating and acting normally, then my guess is the freeze dried blood worms are clogging up its digestive system. I'm not a big fan of FDBW' s and suggest only feed it as an occasional treat, not a main staple in the diet.
Omega One food products are my favorites. In your case, might try Omega One Super Color
Cichlid pellets (small grain). Other members have their own food preferences and might chime in.

I go through over a 1/2 pound of pellets a week so NLS is out !
For quality food I offer my rams Australian Black worms [freeze dried].
I stick them to the glass under the water and the fish go crazy..

I can imagine cb, foods absolutely crazy expensive, I was just curious Cause I did see a huge color change in my rainbows when i started feeding the NLS flake and tubifex and frozen blood worms and brine, they eat better than I do lol.
