I have no clue what lighting I have I'm afraid! I bought the Marineland 60g ensemble a few months back - I have whatever came with that. But thanks, I will look into those plants you suggested. If they are indestructible I guess I will just give them a go. Would I need co2 and ferts with them?

I had a similar situation with an older tank of mine. What I did what's change the included light bulbs to better quality ones and in the substrate I put root tabs. After that I never had an issue and the plants thrived. I have never used co2 always seemed too complicated and as I said never had an issue
