Due to the weather improving my tank ware is heating up - how can I reduce this?

reduce heater temperature if its tropical, if its cold water i would not worry much

And temp is reaching up round 30 therefore heater not kicking in even

turn down the heater to 20 then.
mine is at 20 and water is can hit 26 lol

I am just confused as to how this will help because the heater only kicks in when temp goes below what heater is set at doesn't it?

It won't help. Some things to try are taking the lids and hood off the tank, keeping the lights off, aiming a fan over the surface of the water or adding frozen bottles of water to the tank. Be careful using the bottles. They could drop the temp too fast if your not keeping an eye in it.
Honestly you don't have to worry too much unless the temp gets really high or you see the fish suffering.
