Reducing wet dry/ overflow noise?

I have a wet dry sump with an overflow box and was wondering what are some ways to reduce the noise produced by the overflow box, or the system in general.... the overflow box is the noisy one and the only bothersome one really

Put a sponge over the hole that leads to the wetdry filter. It'll reduce the nouse but also reduce the gph of the overflow box.
