I'm moving a red tail shark because he harasses a group of barbs. I'm putting him in a 29 gallon and once he gets to big will be putting him in a bigger tank.

I was wondering if these fish would be okay with him.

- African butterfly fish
- 2 Electric blue rams
- 3 Otocinclus cats

and I was thinking about throwing in a betta. The shark shares a tank with slow moving fish like guppies and doesn't bother them so do you think the betta would be a problem? Also, he's with 2 halfbeaks who don't leave the surface like the butterfly fish and he doesn't bother them so I don't think that'd be a problem either.

Any experience or recommendations?

Thanks!

Also, will be heavily planted tank with a cave for the shark. Plenty of hiding spots.

I think it is worth a shot but keep an eye on the tank, make sure there aren't any territory wars.

Might be a good idea to change the tank decor around before moving it into the 29 gal.

Should do good with a heavy planted tank also make sure u keep a lid on it because he will jump out

Don't have the butterfly yet, but yes I will be getting a lid.
