Was just wondering if anyone knew of any good tests to see if a rock is ok to use in the aquarium. I have heard of the vinegar test (though I also heard you need to get a strong acid to do a real test) I performed that test and it did not fizz. I picked up a few gray and very dark grey rocks, which seem to have very small bits of mica in them. I'm assuming thats what it is since the tiny little piece ar shiny and seem to be flakey. It also seems to have a band or two of milky quartz in it too which to my knowledge should be just fine. Any ideas because they look pretty nice and natural when wet and it would be cool for my tank.
