Hi! I have sand in my tank. I want to make a slope. Ive heard some people use gravel on the bottom and then put the sand over to make the slope. Are there any other alternatives that doesnt weight as much? Also, I want the sand to stay in place and not just flatten out after a while.

Thanks!

Sand over gravel will look good for a week or so. Sand will always fall through gravel. You can take a multi tier approach, similar to retaining walls in landscape architecture. Get some silicone cutting boards and use those. It will look sick.
You can affix stone to the cutting board retaining wall for some "wow factor"
