Hello! I'm new to this website, but I've have tanks for a couple years. I started with a 10
gal betta tank, then I got a 55
gal community tank that included swordtails, guppies, a gourami, a few bristlenose Plecos, and some neon tetras. We sold that tank, and we currently have 2 ten gallon tanks that have swordtail fry inside. I'm going to get a 29
gal tank in a couple days. While at my
LFS, I saw some beautiful serpae tetras available. After the tank is cycled, I was planning on getting 5 of them. Although they might not school, I'd love to own them. Would they do good in a 29
gal with a few swordtails and a plakat betta? I'd love to hear anybody's opinion on my idea. And if they wouldn't school, what is another species that schools when kept in groups of 5-10 that can live with the fish I described earlier?
Thanks for reading/responding!
