Im attempting to create a concrete and foam background like what Sulla did in the DIY forum... I noticed that everyone that has done this hasn't sealed the concrete after letting it cure. Is there any reason for this? It seems to me that the concrete will continually have an effect on pH unless sealed with a concrete sealer... What are everyones thoughts on using such?

Thanks, Josh

well, i dont think it should affect the ph that quick, so if you do water changes it should stay about the same. i guess you could seal it, but it would be hard to get into all the lil holes and stuff.

The people I have read about that have done this fill the tank after the concrete cures and then do large daily water changes for 2-3 weeks. Supposedly the concrete won't affect pH after that.
