Seashell & Land Snail Shell Breeding Fish Help Wanted

Hi,

Does anyone have experiences or recommendations for fish species that will breed in seashells or land snail shells placed in a freshwater aquarium? I know there are a few cichlid species but I don't know if any are easy to get in the U.S. Will plecos breed in shells? All info is welcome, thanks.

Shell dwelling cichlids are an option and are becoming more commonly available. Very cool little fish.

Neolamprologus multifasciatus are probably the easiest to breed

Either the multis, or neolamprologus brevis are my two recommendations. I am currently setting up a shelldweller cichlid tank
