Sexing juvenile Pearl Gourami

Hey everybody! I just got a juvenile Pearl Gourami from my LFS. I wanted to get one as young as I could but yet be reasonably certain of the sex. I'm about 80% sure it's a male but the only thing that gets me is that "his" throat isn't very orange. Just want more opinions! Thanks in advance :)

The fact he has any orange at all when he yet to settle into your tank suggests he is a male. Judging by the length of the dorsal and anal fins, I would say this is a male. The fin extension filaments should start to develop soon.

I just zoomed in on your pics and think I can see fin filaments just starting to show. These are absolutely stunning fish when in full 'bloom'. My favourite gourami. I used to own a large pair of these and a pair of moonlights. Gorgeous
