Sexing silver tip tetra?

I've never owned one but from what I've read, the males have a more copper color and the females will be pale and a silverish color. I could be wrong though.
But with most tetras the female will have a more plumper body and the males will be real slim.
 
I noticed at petco there were some copper colored silver tip tetras. I honestly think that looking at how plump the fish is would be more reliable.
 
Yeah on closer look at the ones in my tank, think two may be female. They are a bit plumper. But also they are duller in complection.
