Shout out to my otos
I keep reading Otocinclus are fragile. I did not know this when I got them for a new aquarium.
As with most new aquariums and people who don’t quite know what they’re doing, there have been some ups and downs: ammonia spikes, bacteria blooms, fish coming and going. These otos have stayed strong and happy through it all.
I’ve also heard they’re shy. Not mine. They’re obsessed with eating and won’t be discouraged by anything. I can be planting something, have my hand right next to them, whatever, if they’re eating they move for no one.
Super cool little clean up crew.
