Shrimp???

Haven't had shrimp before what fish can I keep with them and what is a good kind of shrimp to get?

Can I keep bristlenose's with them?

I keep bn plecos with my rcs and they don't bother one another at all.

If you want them to breed and the babies to survive, no fish other than pleco's. Most fish that can get ahold of one will take it got a tastey snack, they're not too fish safe really, IME.

otocinclus work also, but yeah, pretty much everything else will snack on babies

I am now thinking having a separate breeding tank for the shrimp and then add them to another tank when they are bigger.

Are tetras and guppies ok with them?

I'm not totally sure, I've had no problem with adults and guppies, but there's no telling sometimes.

I was thinking of neon,penguin,black neon, glowlight tetras or similar.

I have ghost shrimp living with guppies, penguin tetras, cory cats, otocinclus cats, dwarf gouramis, and some other live bearers. The only thing in my tank that has ever bothered them is one of my african dwarf frogs. She tried to swallow one whole... Lol.

cherry shrimp
Neon tetras
Guppies
Bristlenose
Cory cats
