Silver Dollar eating habits

Hey guys and girls,

Has anyone successfully kept Silver Dollar fish without them eating your plants?!
I have Java Ferns if that helps. I really like them but I don't want them to eat all of my plants that took forever to grow to the size they are.

Silver dollars will more than likely eat your plants, although a robust plant like the java fern may stand a chance against them but it will be bitten and chewed haha.

Doubtful that even java fern will survive them. They eat plants. It's just what they do.

I've heard both from my local pet store. One guy told me that my plants wont survive and another guy at the same store told me that the Java Fern might be fine.

My Amazon Swords have survived my Silver Dollars for a while now. I do however provide them with dwarf hair grass to chew on to keep them occupied...
