I am VERY excited! I've been slaving over these guys for weeks! And Ann will be so thrilled! She wants to hear the splisher-splasher of little angelfish fins

There's some irony too. I posted that half-asleep. Last time I took a nap during the day, I dreamed the angels spawned and woke up disappointed. Today I didn't dream during my nap and I woke up and the angels spawned!

Yup! Merry fishmas indeed! The only downside is we need another air pump! But that's hardly what I'd call a "problem".

The USPS is taking over the job of driving me nuts now that the angels have spawned and the rams have used the dish.... I sure hope they update soon.

Wait you mean they are doing what they usually do? Don't worry about it man, at least they are not getting shipped next week

Well considering I already have one package this week that's (at least) 3 days late... I don't want to think about this particular package getting delayed.

Not letting it get me down! I have the angelfish egg bin up and running- gonna hatch them in a 15 gallon plastic bin filled about 2/3.
Picked up another air pump to get the ram "cradle" going! Gonna set up a floating Tupperware for the ram eggs.

Put the ram eggs leaning against the wall like this /<--- air stone goes there underneath them so there is constant flow over them. Theyll start to hatch, be wigglers, then fall to the bottom of the tank. Thus avoiding any nasties (fungus, unhatched eggs, etc). Remove tray once your satisfiedall eggs have done their thing. There they will belly drag for a bit. Then become free swimmers once egg sac is absorbed.

^^Use the bubble to move the water^^
Don't float the bubbles over(in contact ) of the eggs.
Turn both slate and tray so they point down and wigglers can fall off away from eggs that fungus and allowing you to remove tray or slate easier after hatch.!
Looking Good!!!

Is it ok if the air passes over the eggs directly? And does the angel setup look ok?

The tupperware I've got won't let me set it up, so I'm gonna try it this way as a little experiment. In theory the air stone should keep the constant flow as it's placed, and I'll try to manually remove wigglers away from bad eggs if I get that far. Not sure I'm gonna get that far
But definitely critique the angelfish setup. That's the basket I'm putting my eggs in and I can make whatever changes you think I should!

Wow, I dunno what happened to my female ram, I looked and she's just now absolutely trashed on one side. Body is dented behind the gill, fin is torn up. Could the male have done this? She seems to be acting fine and isn't bleeding but dang she looks rough....
