snail?

i have just found a really small brownish coloured snail in my tank,we got 2 clown plecos yesterday and it must have come in with them,will it be ok in the tank or should i take it out?

i don't know how a snail would come in with fish... they usually come in on plants. i'd take it out unless you want a couple hundred of them in time.

Really depends on what kind of snail it is. Take a look here and see if you can find yours.

cant really tell at the mo as its really small,the shop we get the fish from use really plants in the tanks and hubby said it was hard to bag the plecos so i guess its poss that as the guy was trying to get the fish he snagged the snail too,in the bag was what i thought was gravel but it must have been the snail !!!heres a pic

Looks like a pond snail to me. I would get rid of it, they multiply very quickly!
