Snail care

Just found a snail the size of a pin head in my main tank I moved him to my empty betta tank just setup just incase the fish don't eat him and he doesn't eat my plants he is so cute and I was wondering how to care for him I have never owned a snail

Probably a pond snail, which are very annoying. They reproduce like mad, and will cover your tank. If you like these snails then you really dont need to do anything to care for them, some will eat alge in your tank

But I just set up this tan an hour ago ( transferred him there so he doesn't eat my plants ) what can I feed him

Nothing just clean water. he will eat algae and decaying plants and fish food. If you don't over feed the population won't get out of hand.

He won't eat your plants just tiny bits of dead plant. I have pond snails in all my tanks, no problem!

Ok great I'm so excited I was going to buy one tomorrow ( a snail )
