Snail invasion!

Just curious, what kind of snail is this? I've had ramshorns in my tank for the last couple of months and I haven't added anything in about a month or so but im starting to see a number of these little guys. Ive heard that if I put a piece of zucchini or cucumber in the tank overnight that I'll find a bunch of them on there in the am and I can get rid of them. Thanks.

That’s a bladder or pond snail. Most people will say they are pest snails. They breed like rabbits and can over run your tank in no time. If you don’t want that to happen, I’d get rid of it.

Yeah thats what i thought. I'd really like to know how they got in. I havent added anything in at least a month and they're just now popping up. Will the zuchini trick work with them? I don't want to put in an assassin snail as I love my ramshorns.

I’m not sure the zucchini trick will work with them or not. Worth a try.

If it doesn't, whats another way to get rid of them?
