Yes they do. The same as fish.

I've never acclimated any freshwater fish or invertebrate, I just float the bag for about 15 minutes and put them in the tank. Been doing this for more than 10 yrs, till this day I haven't lost a fish.

With the last post, yes, you don't HAVE to acclimate a fish, but it greatly reduces the stress on the fish.
