South American tank

Stocking a 33gal South American tank soon...thinking of the following:
-various small cory cats (how many?)
-school of neons(how many?)
-various tetras (which kinds?)
-discus or angelfish?

anyone have any thoughts on which would look best, or any others to add to the list?

sounds almost exactly like my current tank. Mine is a 30 gal. I have a pair of angels, 5 cories, 5 neons, 5 rasboras, and a couple black skirt tetras

Would Discus be a good choice? I hear they don't go well with Angels.

yeah, I don't have experience with mixing the two, but from what I hear it tends to not work out too well

LFS told me that 29 gal, which is what I have, is too small for discus. Not sure if thats true and would be interested to hear others opinions because I would love to get one.
