srping bottled water?

grrr...this whole thing with the chloramine in my tap water is driving me crazy...i just went grocery shopping and saw that 4L of spring water are like $2 (CAN) and i can use it for 2 water changes...so...EXPERTS! can i use that...or no? should i make an appointment with a shrink to treat my obsessive behavior???hahaha...

Spring water. Its safe for us to drink. Its pure water with no chloramines in it. I'd say you're 100% safe using this water. Thats what I use sometimes to change my fish water. I'll go to walmart and buy it by the gallons (its only 58 cents a gallon). Its never hurt my fish.

Because the actual water can vary based on where the "spring" was (different locations have different stuff even in the springs) and what processes were used during the bottling I would purchase one bottle and run the gammet of tests to see where it falls in relation to the current water conditions you are maintaining -- that way you'll know what if anything you need to add or treat out prior to using the water.
One other thought - not sure about up there but here they have little water dispenser stands inside many stores (ie WalMart, groceries, etc) that dispense R/O water (some even UV it on the way out of the dispenser) and you can fill your own containers for about .33 cents a gallon (I had been buying the .58 cent disptilled from WalMart prior to this discovery). They kiosks are owned/operated by water purification companies such as Culligan......
