Was a member here years ago then got out of the hobby after moving, couldn't remember my user name though  Now in the planning stages for a 10g blackwater tank; definitely want a school of Phoenix rasboras and group of pygmy cories. No shrimp but possibly a couple of nerite snails.

Looking for centerpiece fish ideas, hoping nothing larger than 2". Betta falx was on my list but seller said they might eat the rasboras; not sure if that's true or not. I do like sparkling gouramis but can only find them in trios online. Any suggestions?

3 gouramis might actually be all you need, since 10-gallon tanks can't hold may creatures for too long, at least from my experience (1 fish per gallon is a good rule to go by to avoid overcrowding).

Btw I wish you luck with your tank! :)
