Ok so I have a 40 gal breeder and my current stock is 3 cardinal tetras 5 cherry barbs 1 bn pleco and 1 Krib is there anything else I can add to my stock

Anything colorful is what I'm looking for

I would start with more Cardinals, they like a larger school than 3.

Yea I had 7 but 4 died and the store is more than an hour away so couldn't get a ride to get the guarantee

You could do a pair of angelfish, or dwarf gourami. Rummy nose tetras compliment cardinals and if you can't get more cardinals, the cardinals would most likely school up with the rummy nose tetra's. Six Rummy nose would be a good addition. Lemon tetra's would add a nice touch of yellow if you wanted to go that route.
