Ohh I'm aware. I refer to it as forever upgrading. I'm learning as I go, but knowledge on his growth deff came quick. The lady made a comment about another cat not getting as big as "that one" but that was it. Well i bought "that one" to quickly learn it was gonna get huge. I'd say a 55 to start him and quick jump to a 180 isn't bad for a start.

But i dont wanna have this tank just him. I wanna use its space... For now.
 
Alright. As long as you are aware that eventually you're going to have to upgrade to a 300+ gallon tank. I hope you live in a good climate because an outdoor pond is your best option, or indoor if you can do it.

Edit- just saw you live in New York. Outdoor pond is out of the question
 
Haha yup. I do have a furnished basement though. Which would hold 300gal weight.
