What are some stocking suggestions for a 125 freshwater? I currently have a 55 Gallon and have:

- 4 angle fish
- 1 rainbow shark
- 1 ropefish/reedfish

But I will be getting my 125 set up and running within the next week or so and I will be getting at least one more ropefish and was thinking of maybe 4 or 5 boeseman rainbow fish.

Any suggestions on what else to stock it with? Maybe some schooling fish or some gourami?

Friend.. you have so many wonderful options with that size tank!

The first area I review when looking at compatibility is temperature needs.

Rainbows are awesome, very, very active and they are so exciting in larger groups especially in a 6' tank... but they desire a bit cooler temps than the angels..

With that size tank I like action!

So I'd go with 2 to 3 different species of Rainbows in groups of 5-6.

I'd also add 7-8 Denison Red-Line Torpedo Barbs

A group of 8-9 of your favorite cory species
5-6 Bolivian Rams

And add your ropefish!

But don't add all these fish at the same time!

Have fun with that 125!
