Hi guys, have had a recent snail outbreak in my tank which i am currently dealing with, but upon inspection this evening i noticed this strange 4 legged creature on the glass of my fresh water aquarium. Any one have any ideas just what this is? I have been an aquarist for 5 years and have never seen anything like it? Any light shed on this will be much appreciated thanks.

Got me stumped dude looks like a starfish baby as I thought u must have had a marine tank would like to know tho

The tank is freshwater, nothing new introduced. Cleaned the tank this morning and have had two appear since. Just hoping this is not a parasite [emoji33]

Looks like hydra to me. I had an outbreak in my elephant nose tank it came in on the live food. I just upped the pwc and they became less, i have none now.

Thank you so much that would seem its exactly what it is, just had a thought i tried a new food with the fish the other day which was freeze dried krill, starting to think they came from this.
