I have a newly cycled 35L tank. I added 11 cherry shrimp last week along with some christmas moss and algae balls. Today I noticed two very small snails on the glass. I've not put any snails in the tank so no idea where they have come from. Any ideas?? Will they hurt or effect my shrimp as I'm in the process of trying to start a colony. Thanks Chris

Any chance you could get a picture of them? Thanks

No harm to the shrimp at all, they are usually either rams horn or Malaysian trumpet snails. Just don't feed too much or populations will grow to the hundreds.

Thanks for the reply guys here's a pic of the snail. I've only spotted two so far so hopefully if I get those out I may be able to stop there growth. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1421755240.982311.jpg

Keep Calm and breed shrimp!

Looks like a bladder snail, definitely remove as they breed like crazy!
