stressed??

What does it mean when fish are stressed and how do they re act???

I am not entirely how to to explain stress aside from calling it stress. Under negative pressure from environmental sources, I suppose....
A stressed fish can be discolored (pale or darker than normal), breathing heavily, fins held close to the body, erratic behavior, things like that which generally denote a fish in need of some part of it's environment to be fixed in some way.
