Stressed gourami?

i am setting up a 48 gallon and it’s already cycled n whatnot, all of my readings are fine, no ammonia etc.) but right now i have just one neon blue dwarf gourami in the tank and he is just chilling more around the bottom, he is pretty active and swims around a lot and shows no long times just sitting still but he still remains around the lower area of the tank instead of the top, could he be lonely or sick ?

My powder blue does the same. Super active and always swimming but 80% of the time he is roaming the bottom. Mostly comes to the top for air or when I feed. Pictures would help to possibly ID any physical issues if there are any.

It looks fine to me and it is a male. Here is an image on sexing gouramis.male dorsal fin will be pointed while female are rounded.
