Remember to wash the sand thoroughly trust me it will save you a lot of time. I just put marble white sand in my 55g fish tank and didn't wash it properly, luckily I didn't have the canister filter on or it would of broke it, because in the marble sand that I bought from a fish store had silicon sand which clogs up the fan and covers everything took me ages to take it out.
