Substrate For Quarantine tank

I just got a 10 gallon quarantine tank, do need to have gravel in it?

No, the best would be to keep it as simple as possible..

No substrate required. A lot of people just use a bare bottom tank for quarantine.

bare bottom is best. makes it easier to monitor poo.

What should i have for a hide? I've heard a piece of PVC piping works well.
