Hi

My stocking at moment in 465 litre subtropical tank

2male Black Moors
1femake Black Moor
1female Calico fantail
1female Golden fantail
1female Calico Ryukin

3female WCM
3 female Danios
1 (unsure of sex) variatus platy.

I don't plan on replacing any WCM or danios when they live out their life span.

But I love the variatus platy as they have so much personality.

In the long run with 6 fancies. Is it practical to have some more variatus plays and what the max number I could have. I would understock. But just curious.

Is that a 120 gallon tank? Nice! I'm jealous. :)

With six fancy goldfish at 20 gallons per fish, you may be fully stocked with just the goldfish.

Depends on their size. It's hard not to overstock goldfish when they're small. I've got four in a 60g.

I would love to see pictures of your setup.

Once the goldfish get big, will they try to eat the platies? I think so. I would stick with just the goldfish.

Just my two cents. :)

There's a platy in there had no troubles they are pretty big already its a 119gallons.

If you get female variatus then you'll probably have more before you know it, they're often already pregnant when you get them. This setup is similar to one I've been planning for years on a smaller scale, I just don't have the housing for my big tank atm :(
