Question Such a thing as too many bubbles?

Is there such a thing as too many bubbles? I have a little ten gallon and my oxidizer spans the entire length of the tank. I have a whole wall of bubbles coming up and the entire water surface is covered in an eighth of an inch of bubbles. Too much?
Is this detrimental to the fish?

Thanks!

Hello Sal...

Unless you like the bubble effect, you don't need it. If you have sufficient filtration in place, this is all that's needed to put oxygen into the tank water and to remove carbon dioxide.

If you want the bubbles, then just use a small air stone and air pump.

If bubbles are covering the surface then that is too much and it is actually blocking the water surface from being able to make a healthy gas exchange.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to take the aerator out once my tank is done cycling.
