Swordtail

So I have a marigold male swordtail that is in my 29gal with 4 females (1 marigold and 3 velvelt) ....... well today i noticed that the tip of his tail turned black which is usually redish ..... is this bad or good? anyone know whats going on? TIA

some of the swords I used to have did this, I don't know what it means exactly, but it never seemed to hurt them
