Tank decor questions

so I got a new tank decoration and I'm a little worried about the paint. It looks like it's run down inside the decoration and dried. Also there are lots of tiny little holes that I'm afraid Magma (my betta) might swim inside. I've already put it inside my tank but worried it might cause a problem. Any advice?

You can put it in a bowl of water for a bit to see if the paint comes off.
I think the general rule of thumb with decorations with holes for bettas is that the hole has to be the size of a quarter. If the holes are super tiny he may not even try to swim through them.
