Is argos play sand safe for aquariums???

Play sand can get compacted.

I've used it. Required a LOT of rinsing prior to use. If I were to do sand again, I'd go for pool filter sand instead.

Thanks!! Is there any make of filter pool sand i should go for? Or wheres best place to buy it??

I bought mine at Ace Hardware, I think it was HTH Quartz Pool Filter Sand

Best to buy 0.4 - 0.8mm or 0.6 - 1.6mm ??
