So i took my tap water peramiters and the Ph reads were very odd.

Ph was at 7.0, high Ph was at 8.0ish

Any one know why this would be?

If it's reading in the middle of the high pH test range I'd wager it's closer to 8 than 7. I've gotten a few wonky results with the API kit on occasion and the first thing I do is blast out the test tube with with hot water from the kitchen sink sprayer or the showerhead then retest (or just something with a lot pressure, straight from the tap has been lacking); usually comes back with the reading I was expecting afterwards. Seems like residue in the tubes can alter the readings.
