Tell me if this is ok...

For my 29 gallon I was thinking about putting some bars in. THis is what I was thinking

5 green or gold tiger barbs
1 small angel
2 corys

would that work or is that too much? Could add another group of barbs?

ALso would I have to feed the corys algae flakes?

EDIT:I just thought of this

what if I had 3 green and 3 albino tigers with 3 blue or yellow gouramis and 2 corys? Would this be too much?

From everything I have read, Angels are the worst tank mates for Tiger Barbs. I too want a 29ga with Tiger Barbs so I have decided to have some Tetras and 2 Gouramis with them. Unfortunatly the flowing fins of the Angel are too tempting for the Tigers and they will peck them off.

Also, I read and have been told that keeping the Tiger Barbs in groups of 6 is best, this way they will amuse each other and they will leave their Tank Mates alone.

Drop the angel. I would add a couple more barbs and 3 more cories. The cories like to be in groups as well as the barbs.

I had a angel in my FW tank with a few neons and one tiger barb and I had to get rid of the angel he kept nipping at the others.

I want 6 barbs..thats it cause I want other fish too. What about a few dwarf gouramis? and the corys.

How many barbs is too many in a 29?

Also could I have 3 green barbs and 3 albino tiger barbs as a group? or will I have to have only 6 of one kind?
