Temp of tank for Tetras and Cories

When I did my research I read that tetras liked cooler water like cooler than 77 and live aquaria says 68-74. Called the LFS to ask questions about the sick Neon and the man told me they liked warm water like 80.

So I went to petsmart bought a 40$ tank heater put it in. Went back to double check facts (this was obviously a step too late) and saw the cooler temps.

What do you keep your tank at for the tetras?

Neons like about 76f. Mine are unheated at 72f. And Cories, it depends on the species. There are a ton of them.

Cardinal Tetras like warm water, NOT Neons.

Tetras can adapt to a wide range of temperatures. I keep mine at 80*F.
