ok I use the Aquarium Pharmacueticlas test kits, most of them take 5 minutes to get resluts, one takes 3 minutes and the other is a color titration test. My question is does the time effect the results after the 5 minutes? lets say I do my test and start my timer, but I go to make a quick sandwhich and come back liek 5 minutes late, do you think it effects the results any?

I've let them sit out for a while afterwards to see what happens, and they do turn darker over time. I'd test as close to the 5 minutes as possible. Realisticly, if you are a few minutes late I doubt it has a serious effect on the readings.

I think that 5 minutes over will not make a difference. 1/2 hour or more I have noticed a difference but not in 5 minutes extra.
